The beach of Nea Chora


This place is within walking distance of many hotels and restaurants and is one of the beaches you can swim in near the Venetian Old Harbor.

 There are plenty of sunbeds to choose from at quite reasonable daily rates. Behind the promenade are numerous cafe-bars and beach eqiuipment shops. Most of the cafes and restaurants provide service to their own blocks of sunbeds, and of course you can use their facilities.

 You will surely enjoy the water there! It is usually calm and very clean and there are markers that prevent you from going too far. You can see fish on the bottom, and is a great relief from Chania's hot summer weather!

Greek National Athletics Association (SEGAS) recognizing the 70-year-long and brighter course of the historical organization 'VENIZELIA' organized by AC Kydon Chania and the 8-year successful and rising course of the Athletic Meeting of Athletics 'CHANIA' organized by GS Eleftherios Venizelos created the necessary conditions for the merger of the two competitions into a new organization named 'VENIZELIA - CHANIA', which already belongs to the EAA Classic Permit Meetings. n 2021,  at the National Stadium of Chania “Elena Venizelou” the top of the Greek and world athletes will compete.
